Well...been a bit depressed lately from breaking up with a girlfriend of 7 months, you know when you put your all into a relationship, things look great, then all of a sudden the other person turns into a ghost, can't reach them by phone, email, text, anything.... you don't? *gasp*
Anyways, that's what happened with us. Sometimes I made her feel bad she says, and sometimes she made me feel bad, but overall we had fun, and honestly I don't have any regrets on my side, it was wonderful while it lasted and I'm lucky to have spent the time with her. (She's out of my league in certain aspects *cough*) The only thing I wish would've changed, would be us having stayed together, but she had things to do and started swapping around priorities, I didn't like where it was going so... we talked, and mutually ended it.
Stuck loving her like crazy, can't get her out of my head.
Thankfully, I'm not SO depressed anymore, I actually even logged into World of Warcraft and actually DID something for once in like... 2-3 weeks, level 64.7 and going strong, did almost all of Terokkar Forest in a day, I call that an accomplishment dangit.
Here's a time breakdown for those who haven't played WoW or haven't gone past level 60 in WoW
Level Time Multiplier
60 6 hours 1 (basis for hypothesis, constant)
61 12+ hours 2 (twice as much experience to reach than from 59-60)
61+ Long ass time 2 (This'll take a while...)
Anyways, right now I need like 638k xp to level from 64-65, I can almost get 110-120xp per hour if I totally bust arse, which still means one level every 7-8 hours of constant fast paced questing and that's only because I have my rest xp fully built up (which gives me 200% exp gained by pve kills).

In time, this will pass.
Until it does, play more Halo ;)
(Probably not the best advice coming from a Halo addict.)
Well honestly I haven't played much Halo 3 yet, I should but I guess I'm looking for more of an introduction to the game?
I'm not sure. I do like the multiplayer (and loved it on Halo: Combat Evolved for PC) but I'm definitely going to have a long road learning everything.
Only real multiplayer match I've played was...to say the least, bad, our team got beat into a pulp but at least I had the most kills of it. (Everyone had rocket launchers...)
If you're used to a keyboard and mouse for your FPS action, trying to translate your skills to a controller can be very daunting.
If you want to be successful, you might want to try the "Bumper Jumper" button layout on your controller. I'm trying to make that transition for several reasons, chief among them is the ability to aim and melee while jumping without having to take your fingers off your joystick. With other button layouts you can't do this.
Another thing is work your way thru campaign on Heroic or Legendary. If you want me to join you via Live I can to give you tips and tricks to help you along.
I get fragged all the time in multiplayer. Some of the guys out there are really hard core and you're rarely ever going to beat them. Best thing you can do is recognize that if you want to win you need to communicate with your teammates and team shoot (focus your fire to take down enemies faster.)
Send a friend request to Hojimoto and I'll try to catch you next time we're on together.
I'll have to do that, I've played a few rounds of multiplayer but still have only gone maybe three or four missions in single/coop, I love bombing runs and Grifball really is all it's cracked up to be, a total fungasm. I hear the way to beat Heroic and Legendary is to run and gun through it, but I had a hard enough time killing my first two gravity hammer enemies.
On Legendary, it depends. When you're facing Covenant forces, it pays to take your time and slowly work your way through your opponents.
You should take out your opponents in the following order:
- Snipers (one shot to kill you)
- Hunters (oncoming locomotive)
- Brutes/Chieftans
- Grunts / other foot soldiers
Once you take out the leaders, the grunts start panicking and won't focus their fire. Watch out for the kamikaze grunts with their plasma grenades. Those things are a bear and they will come at you when you're not looking.
When you're facing the Flood, run & gun is your best option. Just. Keep. Moving. If you stop to fight you will get swarmed. Moving on and getting to your next checkpoint is your best option for progress. Use bladed weapons like the brute shot and the energy sword. Melee attacks are much more effective, even long after you've run out of ammunition in the brute shot. I ran thru 'Cortana' with an empty brute shot for more than half the level.
Send me a Friend Request or an Invite and the next time we're on together we'll team up and run thru the campaign on Heroic or Legendary. I can help you earn some skulls and achievements.
Yeah I think I'll need all the help I can get for the achievements, I saw you have 1000/1000 which means you have the Katana and everything, but as you get skulls isn't the game supposed to get harder? I was looking for the effects of the skulls and most of them seemed to raise the health of the enemy, one had something to do with grenades for the enemy, sounds awful heh.
Not necessarily. You collect skulls but you have to activate them before the game gets harder. So, you end up making one run thru the game to get the skulls (and their achievements), then another run thru the game with skulls on to earn the campaign achievements.
If you go thru the game on Normal with three to four skulls on, you can easily earn the achievements without causing yourself a lot of frustration. It was harder going thru the game on Legendary with no skulls on than it was Normal with four on.
Gosh we have got to do that, I want to hit 1000/1000 on there, that would just be awesome.
